Cost Accountant
Location: Arlington, MN
Key Responsibilities/Job Duties:
Ensure accurate costs are maintained for all products and raw materials. Analyze costs for new products, components and assemblies. Analyze variances from budget and advise management of situations needing attention. Work order variance analysis. Cycle count generation and variance reporting. Develop overhead and departmental labor rates for use in product costing. Prepare costs and transfer prices for inter-divisional sales and ensure that appropriate parties are aware of the Transfer Pricing Policy. Prepare standard weekly, monthly and annual cost reports. Assist with preparation of annual budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Finance or Accounting. 3-4 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Inter-divisional costing experience a plus. High degree of accuracy and mathematical aptitude. Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate the effects of people in different departments. Experience working in an ERP system environment. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office programs, particularly Excel. Microsoft Access experience a plus. Experience in an “Ad Hoc” reporting system a plus. Good project and time management skills.
Eastern Regional Manager
Location: Arlington, MN
Key Responsibilities/Job Duties:
This Eastern Regional Manager will be responsible for growing and managing existing customer relationships, identifying and developing new customers, and managing the activities of any Independent Representatives as may be assigned. Further, this employee will be a key member of the TSE Customer Interface organization and will be expected to participate in the creation of TSE sales strategies and processes, and for helping to capture business opportunities throughout the Eastern Region of the United States as needed.
There are currently no direct reports aligned with this position, but anticipated future growth will require this person to also manage direct reports.
The Eastern Regional Manager will lead the Customer Focus Team dedicated to their region. This is a team of cross-functional team members who are dedicated to serving the accounts in the Eastern region.
Up to 50% Travel is required.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the electronic interconnect industry
- Ability to excel in a self managed environment remote from central operations, a self starter
- Experience with wire and cable assemblies, connectors and related components is preferred
- Professional level communication skills, including exceptional written and verbal presentations
- Computer literacy including MS Office and other Windows applications
- Creative problem solving skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to keep projects and teams on task.
- Able to make good choices regarding investment of TSE’s money in travel, entertainment, etc.
Associates degree or better in Business or equivalent preferred. Previous sales experience with client or client communications responsibility required.
Application Engineer
Location: Arlington, MN
Key Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Strong customer focus and interaction, much of which will be face-to-face at the customer’s location. The Application Engineers will understand the strategic objective for the account as well as objectives for the specific sales call. These strategies and objectives are determined by the TSE Account Manager and/or Sales Representative with active input from the Application Engineers
- Responsible for the accuracy of technical information between customer & TSE. This is accomplished through partnership with TSE’s Account Mgrs and/or Sales Rep’s.
- Leads product development projects and partners with product team members and others to ensure robust design and smooth transfer to Manufacturing.
- Develops one or more design concepts after completely understanding the customer’s performance requirements and intended use.
- Assists TSE’s Account Mgrs and/or Sales Rep’s with presentations of proposals, technical data, test documentation, and other customer oriented requirements.
- Maintain understanding of competitive landscape and assist TSE account managers in assessing the total cost to the customer of TSE’s offering vs. competitive offerings.
- Develops and documents assumptions and facts with regard to cost information for TSE product proposals, so that TSE Account Mgrs are able to develop pricing strategies. Uses TSE’s Product Engineers and Purchasing team members as resource for this information
Qualifications:
- Willing to continually learn with regard to wire, cable, and interconnection tech.
- Strong customer focus and interaction.
- Able to travel, overnight, a minimum of 5% and a maximum of 25%.
- Project Mgmt skills
- CAD literate
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with emphasis on active listening, technical documentation, and team interaction
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be self managed, to give and receive critical feedback, and possess the desire to “win as a team”.
- Broad engineering abilities and understanding of electrical, mechanical, and mfg/industrial engineering disciplines (general understanding of each, with focus in one or more of the disciplines).
- Able to actively participate as a member of the Account Team’s for the accounts assigned.
4-year college degree or equivalent preferred, with 4-5 years of previous experience required.
Buyer/Planner
Location: Arlington, MN
Key Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Timely & cost effective procurement & delivery of good &/or services needed to support Plant build schedules
- Actively participate in the development & implantation of strategic procurement strategies as defined & directed by the Commodity Manager
Requirements:
- 4-year degree or equivalent business experience
- Minimum of 5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing MRP preferred
- Commodity experience to include wire & cable, connectors, tooling, plastic molded parts & electronic components
- Good negotiation skills are necessary
- Familiar with Lead Manufacturing & CI processes
- APICS or CPM Certification preferred
- Occasional travel to supplier locations and/or other TSE locations required
Product Engineer
Location: Arlington, MN
Key Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain the Sonic Welding Process and trouble shoot any issues
- Develop and maintain wire termination (crimping and stripping) process
- Develop and maintain soldering process
- Develop and maintain resistance welding process
Qualifications:
- Computer skills in Microsoft, CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, PRO E or equivalent desired.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic concepts and procedures in engineering disciplines.
- Electronic and plastic competencies.
- Problem solving skills and able to demonstrate the ability to lead Problem Solving Teams
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to demonstrate team building and leadership skills
- Independent self-starter
- Able to demonstrate a sense of urgency
BS technical degree with an emphasis in mechanical or electrical; or, a 2 year degree in Technology.
CAD Designer
Location: Arlington, MN
Key Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Provide conceptual designs of new products in cooperation with a design team
- Produce CAD conceptual models, detailed assembly models, and detail drawings of products
- Produce renderings and exploded views of concepts
- Contribute creative and high quality design input to the design team
- Produce CAD models and drawings for fabrication of prototypes and interact with Model Shop
- Perform engineering calculations as required to provide sound designs
- Perform geometric tolerance analysis to ensure manufacturable designs
Qualifications:
- Highly proficient with SolidWorks
- ProE experience beneficial
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical design practices
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic design calculations (e.g. thread strength, press fits, stress, etc)
- Wire, cable, and interconnect design experience beneficial
Two year technical degree or equivalent with three to five years of design experience including conceptual design.
